Today is the day of salvation

Now is the Day of Salvation

Text: 2 Corinthians 6:1-10

Anyone who procrastinates or delays in taking steps of repentance from sin and accepting Jesus as Saviour and Lord toys with his or her salvation and, invariably, jokes with hell fire. No one knows exactly the day he or she will die or when Jesus will come for His church. You never can tell if you will live till old age before you depart this world. The message is this: the accepted time to get right with God and begin to serve Him is now; not any future time. After now, it might be too late. Take that decision now.

When we receive the grace of salvation into our lives, we become workers together with Christ, especially in getting others saved. We should, therefore, implore our friends and neighbours to reconciled to God through Jesus Christ. This is to be done not wit threats and quarrels but with the expression of the love of Christ, showing them kindness, and in righteous living. We need to be patient, enduring persecutions that may come in the course of this all-important assignment, seeing ourselves as ministers of God. When we spread the Word of Truth, we change people’s lives for God in all circumstances (pleasant or otherwise). Remember, procrastination is dangerous; today is the day of salvation.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, thank You for Your tender mercies and unfailing love. Thank You for providing a way for sinners to be reconciled back to you. Thank you for enlightening our hearts to accept Christ Jesus in our lives when we hear the Gospel. Your name will be praised to the ends of the earth, You are honour as our Lord and Saviour. In the name of Christ Jesus, I pray, Amen.
