Reading the Bible on a regular and consistent basis has several benefits. First, the bible is essential for knowing God and His will for our lives. People might know God without scriptures. But there is a vast difference between knowing about God and knowing God personally. Everyone knows about God but only a few know Him personally and have a relationship with Him. Also, the Bible helps us to understand God’s character and how to imitate Him. His word gives us direct instruction on how we should act in every circumstance.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 tells us that God’s inspired and inerrant Word was given for many reasons: to teach us, to correct us, to rebuke us and to instruct us in righteousness.  You cannot walk in righteousness if you do not study scriptures. By reading the Bible on a consistent basis, you can find direction for your life and learn how to best serve the Lord who gave His life for you.
